Bio:
Todd is the Communications Manager for the Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU). He oversees the OMMU’s outreach and education team. Todd has worked with the Department of Health since 2020. Prior to joining the OMMU, Todd served as Communications Director for The Able Trust and the Florida Institute of Certified Public Accountants. Todd has more than 20 years of experience in the communications arena and has worked with both for profit and non-profit entities. Todd is a graduate of Florida State University and supports all things Garnet and Gold. Todd resides in Tallahassee with his wife and daughter and enjoys spending time with his family and watching both college football (go Noles) and the NFL (go Bengals).
Alexis Macchione
Alexis Macchione, Education and Outreach Coordinator, Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU), Florida Department of Health
Bio:
Alexis Macchione, serves as an Education & Outreach Coordinator for the Office of Medical Marijuana Use (OMMU) within the Florida Department of Health. She has been with the OMMU since 2020, beginning her career as a member of the Call Center Support Team before advancing to Call Center Supervisor in 2022. In early 2025, she transitioned to the Education & Outreach Team, where she now works to educate and engage key stakeholders about Florida’s Medical Marijuana Program. Currently, she is pursuing her bachelor’s degree in communications, further strengthening her passion for public engagement and effective communication. A fun fact about her is that she rescued a stray American Bulldog and named her Onion.
